oh, this old thing?

Hairstylist Charlie le Mindu insists he's not a milliner or a fashion designer. He insists on this despite the fact that his wigs can easily double as clothing or chapeaux. The sculptural, high-minded hair creations he weaves even won him his own London Fashion Week Show this year. (Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that was a first.)

I'm especially enamored with this monstrosity, which calls to mind "Where the Wild Things Are," cotton candy and the curve of a shark's fin. Each of these creations from le Mindu's London show required the help of as many as 10 assistants as he worked to sew hair onto a frame and then cut and style the couture locks.

"The wigs took 6 months to create in total. Although each was different, it was about 200 hours per wig," le Mindu told Dazed Digital. Now tell me the man doesn't deserve his own runway show.
